New Zealand government will provide 30 international scholarships to Cambodians who wish to study in New Zealand for 2013. 

Number of scholarships given to Cambodia: 30 scholarships


·        Full tuition and orientation fees
·        Economy return airfares
·        A basic living allowance (including accommodation expenses)
·        Medical and travel insurance

The New Zealand Government will offer PhD Scholarships | Doctoral Scholarships to Cambodian students who wish to study in New Zealand for the academic year 2013-2014.

 Scholarship for each Cambodian student: 

• full tuition fees for three years of full-time doctoral study
• NZ$25,000 per annum living allowance (NZ$2,083.33 per month).
• up to NZ$600 annual health insurance allowance
• NZ$2,000 (across 3 year tenure) travel allowance. This is intended to be used for conference attendance and field research
• NZ$800 (across 3 year tenure) book and thesis allowance
• NZ$500 one-off establishment allowance.

We are pleased to inform all Cambodian students that the New Zealand Government will offer 30 scholarships to Cambodian students wishing to pursue higher education in New Zealand under a full government scholarship for 2012-2013.

Scholarship Entitlements

The New Zealand ASEAN Scholars Awards covers tuition and orientation fees, an economy return airfare, a basic living allowance (including accommodation expenses), and medical and travel insurance. Assistance is provided for some course-related costs.

Field of Study

Agriculture: Phytosanitary, agri-business management, sericulture, vegetables production, livestock, bio-security, food sciences, post-rice harvest processing

Business and Private Sector: Management, leadership, economics, value chain development, trade facilitation, small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) development, private sector management

Disaster Risk Management: Renewable energy, climate change adaptation, natural resource management

Sustainable Tourism: Ecotourism, tourism management

Governance and Public Sector: Law, justice, legal and judicial reform, human rights, gender equity, development, public administration, public policy and management
