The Swiss Government awards various scholarships to Cambodian students, scholars and researchers. Those scholarships provide Cambodian students from all fields with the opportunity to pursue higher education in Switzerland.

For this 2013-2014 academic year, the University of Melbourne will offer 150 international scholarships to foreign and Cambodian students who wish to undertake graduate research degree studies in Australia.

Benefits and conditions

• a living allowance of $24,653 per annum (2013 rate) 
• a Relocation Grant of $2,000 awarded to students who are moving from interstate in order to study at the University of Melbourne or $3,000 awarded to those who are moving from overseas
• a Thesis Allowance of up to $420 (2013 rate) for masters by research and up to $840 (2013 rate) for PhD and other doctorate by research candidates, and 
• paid sick, maternity and parenting leave.

2013 JAPAN SCHOLARSHIP for Cambodian students | 2013 SCHOLARSHIP FOR CAMBODIA 

2013 Scholarship to study in Japan: the graduate school of Faculty of Science and Engineering, Waseda University establishes international programs that allow students to earn degrees through programs conducted entirely in English language. This scholarship is awarded for students who are accepted to International Graduate Program (Master’s or Doctoral Program).

Scholarship:  Full tuition fee, monthly allowance of 200,000JPY (around 2400USD per month), air tickets, one time arrival stipend of 150,000JPY

• NZ$25,000 per annum living allowance (NZ$2,083.33 per month).

Amount of French Scholarships 

Master’s courses: monthly allowance of €1,181.
PhD Courses: monthly allowance of €1,400.

PhD scholarships for Cambodian students to study in Singapore for the academic year 2012-2013 The Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) is a collaboration between the Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR), the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Nanyang Technological University (NTU). PhD training will be carried out in English at your chosen lab at A*STAR Research Institutes, NUS or NTU. Students will be supervised by distinguished and world-renowned researchers in these labs. Upon successful completion, students will be conferred a PhD degree by either NUS or NTU.

Scholarship 

The award provides financial support for up to 4 years of PhD studies.

It includes: 

- Full support of tuition fees
- Stipends - S$2,000 per month (S$24,000 per annum), to be increased to S$2,500 per month (S$30,000 per annum) after passing Qualifying Examinations
- One-time S$1,000 settling-in allowance
- One-time airfare grant of S$1,500

• Have completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university for those applying to study in the U.S. for a Master’s degree program, or have a Master’s degree from a recognized college or university for those applying to study in the U.S. for a Ph.D. program;
• Be proficient in English (minimum score of 570 on TOEFL or ITP, or 230 on computer-based TOEFL), or 88 on internet based TOEFL, or 7.0 on IELTS;
• Demonstrate ability to adapt readily to a foreign environment;
• Be in good health and able to undergo a rigorous study program;

2012-2013 French Government Scholarship Program (bourse du gouvernement français pour le Cambodge) is officially open to Cambodian students, government officials, researchers and scholars who wish to pursue higher education in France under a full government scholarship. Australian Government (ADS-ALA) Scholarships are now open to Cambodian students wishing to pursue higher education in Australia for the academic year 2012-2013.

The scholarship covers:

- Pre-departure training (for ADS Masters level candidates only)
- Return air travel to and from Australia
- Contribution towards initial visa expenses
- Establishment allowance
- An ongoing contribution to living expenses for the student only. No additional financial support is available for the student’s family, and all costs for accompanying family members must be paid by the student personally
- Full tuition fees
- Introductory Academic Program (IAP)
- Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of the award (for award holder only)
